Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, impulse control, and activity levels. It can present in children, adolescents, and adults, often impacting academic performance, work, relationships, and emotional well-being.

ADHD is not a result of laziness, lack of intelligence, or poor parenting. It is a recognized mental health condition that varies in presentation and severity from person to person.

Common Symptoms of ADHD

ADHD symptoms are generally grouped into two main categories: inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity. Some individuals experience primarily one type, while others experience a combination of both.

Common symptoms may include difficulty sustaining attention, frequent forgetfulness, restlessness, impulsive decision-making, poor time management, and challenges with organization. In adults, ADHD may appear as chronic stress, low self-esteem, or difficulty maintaining focus at work or in relationships.
